LIA Internship: Business Development & Destination Development

Karlatornet Observation AB is responsible for the development of Gothenburg View - a brand new public destination at the top of the Nordic region's tallest building, Karlatornet. With a view of the whole of Gothenburg from a height of 220 metres, we are creating a world-class destination that combines architecture, experiences, events and sustainable urban development. We are now looking for a curious and driven LIA intern who wants to help shape the visitor destination of the future - right in the heart of Gothenburg's fastest growing neighbourhood, Karlastaden.

About the role: LIA Business Developer with focus on destination development

As an LIA intern with us, you will be part of a small but ambitious team working to establish Gothenburg View as a natural destination for both Gothenburgers and international guests. You will gain insight into business development, destination strategy, concept development and market positioning - from idea to reality.

You will work closely with the business manager and marketing manager and have a dialogue with our partners in real estate, tourism, events and hospitality.

Examples of work tasks:

• Contribute to concept development for Gothenburg View as a destination and brand
• Explore target groups and develop ideas for offers, visitor flows and customer journeys
• Participate in the planning of events, screenings and launch activities
• Examine benchmarks and trends in international observation and experiential tourism
• Assisting in the development of marketing materials and communication plans
• Identify and propose collaborations with other tourism and urban development stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

We believe you are studying in business development, tourism, marketing, concept development, service management or similar. You have an interest in urban development, experience design and destination strategy. You are proactive, structured and used to taking responsibility for your own tasks.
